To manage software updates and prevent piracy, the application occasionally pings our server in the background to verify your license. These routine checks happen only a few times a year and transmit absolutely zero audio or transcription data. If you are entirely offline when a check happens, the ping is safely skipped. Your dictation continues working exactly as designed, 100% offline. The app will simply check again months later without affecting your workflow.

Yes! ScribeMic AI is universally compatible with all kinds of software on Windows. It works seamlessly across MS Word, Google Docs, Outlook, and highly specialized Medical EHR or Legal software without requiring any complex setup.

Hardware requirements vary depending on whether you are using our Lite, Pro, or Enterprise edition. While the Lite version may load on untested older hardware or newer mobile PCs with processors less powerful than an Intel Core i5, we cannot guarantee successful startup, full functionality, or adequate processing speeds on these devices. However, for the absolute highest accuracy in noisy environments (like a busy coffee shop), a standard USB headset or dedicated desktop microphone is recommended.

ScribeMic AI was custom-built and heavily optimized for standard Windows processors (Intel and AMD x64 architecture) to ensure the best possible experience. Because the mobile PC market includes a highly diverse range of custom hardware and emulation layers, it is not feasible to test every device. While the software may run on newer ARM processor-based Windows PCs using Windows' built-in emulation, we have not officially certified ScribeMic AI for this specific processor architecture, and thus we cannot guarantee the compatibility, dictation speed, or overall functionality of the application in this environment.

For the absolute best, lightning-fast experience, we strongly recommend using a computer with a recommended Intel or AMD processor.
